Grayson College names Dr. Brooke Jones as Director of Nursing

Grayson College is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Brooke Jones, DNP, MSN, RN, as the new Director of Nursing. In this role, Dr. Jones will oversee the College’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Vocational Nursing (VN) and RN to BSN programs.
She will provide leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing programs in alignment with academic standards and the requirements of the Texas Board of Nursing, the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Dr. Jones will also serve as a vital liaison between the College, its nursing programs and the healthcare community.
With more than two decades dedicated to nursing and education, Dr. Jones brings 24 years of clinical experience and 21 years as a nursing educator, including extensive teaching in both LVN and ADN programs. Her career spans a wide range of specialties such as medical-surgical, neuro-trauma intensive care, ICU, operating room, post-anesthesia care, hospital education and emergency medicine. Most recently, she served as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Emergency Department at Texoma Medical Center. She also spent 13 years as a team leader for Nursing 4 in Grayson College’s ADN program.

Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Oklahoma. She is deeply committed to preparing nurses for success in every healthcare setting and advancing the profession through education and leadership.
