Graduation Application and Commencement Ceremony RSVP
To apply for graduation and RSVP for Spring & Summer Commencement Ceremony, please visit MyViking.
The Spring Graduation Application and RSVP will open in MyViking on January 6th, 2026 and will close on March 9th, 2026. To ensure on time processing and participation in the Graduation Ceremony, please be sure to submit your application through MyViking by March 9th, 2026.
The Summer Graduation Application and RSVP will open in MyViking on January 6th, 2026 and will close on May 20th, 2026. To ensure on time processing and participation in the Graduation Ceremony, please be sure to submit your application through MyViking by May 20th, 2026.
Students may apply for graduation using any certificate or degree plan in the catalog for the year they first enrolled at Grayson College or any subsequent catalog provided.
- It is dated no more than five years prior to the graduation date; and
- The student is enrolled within the term of the eligible degree audit.
Honors:
To graduate with Honors in a Bachelors Degree Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Have an overall grade-point average of 3.7 or better based on Grayson College hours only;
- To gradutate Cum Laude, have a GPA of 3.70 - 3.84;
- To graduate Magna Cum Laude, have a GPA of 3.85 - 3.99;
- Have an overall grade-point average of 3.7 or better based on Grayson College hours only:
- To graduate Cum Laude, have a GPA of 3.70 - 3.84:
- To graduate Magna Cum Laude, have a GPA of 3.85 - 3.99; and
- Have earned at least 25% of the total required degree plan hours at Grayson College.
To graduate with Honors in a Certificate Program, a student must make a grade of an "A" for all required courses in the Certificate program.
- Applicants will receive emails throughout the Spring & Summer semesters with further details about the Commencement Ceremony.
- A reception will be held immediately following each ceremony for all graduates, friends, and families. Additional information will be provided as the Commencement date approaches.

Regalia may be picked up at the Admission and Records Office in the Student Affairs Building

Guest Tickets are based on the number of student that sign up to participate for each semester and vary semester to semester. Communication will go out to participants after all numbers have been finalized from the Graduation Application Deadline.

There is no Guarantee that there will be Extra Tickets for each Ceremony. IF there are any Extra Tickets Available participants will be notified via email the week of the Ceremony.

Absolutely! Just be sure that your decorations are appropriate and respectful.

Allow up to six business weeks following the end of the completed semester, including mini terms.

You will receive one complimentary diploma per award.

Fill out the Replacement Diploma form. There is a $25 fee, which can be paid by contacting our Business office at 903-463-8718 or visiting in person at the Student Affairs Building.
Please attach your receipt from the Business office to the form. If your fee was waived, please attach the email from the Graduation office in place of the receipt.
Once we receive your form and payment confirmation, we will process your request. Please allow up to two weeks for processing.

To check if you're eligible to graduate, you would access your ‘My Degree Audit’ in MyViking. The degree audit would show which courses are in progress toward completion, which courses have been completed, and which courses remain to be completed. Students who are eligible for graduation or are in the process of completing their degree can access the Graduation Application through MyViking under Student Planner. The Graduation Application Deadlines vary by semester and are listed on the graduation webpage.
