Grayson College announces appointment of Dennis Westman as Vice President of Business Services

Grayson College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis Westman as the new Vice President of Business Services. A seasoned higher education executive, Westman brings more than two decades of leadership experience in university finance, strategic planning, technology integration and operations management.
Westman most recently served as Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, a role he held for nearly 10 years. There, he led a wide-ranging portfolio including financial operations, human resources, facilities services, information technology and student financial aid. His leadership helped guide the institution through complex financial challenges while promoting operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
Prior to his time at Southeastern, Westman held key leadership roles at Murray State College and Grayson College, where he led distance learning and instructional technology initiatives. His professional background also includes systems management and teaching as an adjunct instructor in business and computer information systems.
Westman’s leadership philosophy is rooted in trust, teamwork and service. He is deeply committed to advancing student success through collaboration and strategic planning.
A native of Southern Oklahoma, Westman holds an MBA in Management and a BS in Management and Computer Information Systems from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, as well as an AAS from Murray State College in the same field. He has also completed additional coursework in Information Sciences at the University of North Texas.
Outside of work, Westman enjoys international travel, particularly European cruises and has three rescued pugs: Gunny, Guide and Gus.
Westman will officially assume his full-time duties at Grayson College on September 15, with part-time onboarding beginning in August.
