Most recently, she served as Director of Academic Affairs and Operations at Tarrant County College’s Trinity River Campus, overseeing all academic programming and instructional services. She played a key leadership role at Dallas College as its inaugural Dean of Academic Affairs, guiding the institution through its historic merger and transition. Earlier in her career, she served as Dean of Curriculum, Assessment and Accreditation at Dallas College - El Centro Campus, leading a successful referral report process. Gonzalez began her career as an English teacher and psychology faculty member.

A Dallas native, Gonzalez earned a BA in English Literature with Texas Teacher Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a MS in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. She is also certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Outside of her professional work, Gonzalez and her husband reside in Plano. Together, they have fraternal twins and a son, as well as two Australian Shepherds who keep the family active and entertained.

“I am honored to join Grayson College in this inaugural role,” Gonzalez said. “I look forward to working with faculty, staff and students to expand opportunities, support student success and continue building on the College’s tradition of excellence.”

Grayson College congratulates Joselyn Gonzalez on her new role, and looks forward to the positive influence her work will have on students.
