Grayson College proudly marked a new milestone by hosting its first summer commencement ceremony, honoring the achievements of 247 students who completed academic and workforce training programs during the summer term.

The summer 2025 graduates were awarded a total of 316 credentials, reflecting the College’s continued commitment to student success and workforce readiness. Awards included 22 Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, 111 associate degrees, 158 certificates, 18 occupational skills awards and 1 field of study. In addition, five students earned their GED and one student completed the College’s English as a Second Language (ESL) program.

The graduating class ranged in age from 17 to 64, with an average age of 37, which reflects the College’s role in supporting learners at every stage of life. The class also achieved an average GPA of 3.31.

“The addition of a summer ceremony is a testament to our students’ drive and the College’s dedication to offering flexible opportunities to help them reach their goals,” said Dr. Jeremy McMillen, Grayson College President. “These graduates come from all walks of life, and each one of them has a story worth celebrating.”

Commencement speaker Casie Rivas, Founder and CEO of Rivas Law Firm, inspired graduates with a powerful reminder by sharing, “There is no expiration date on your success. Life is not short—it is long and full of possibilities.”

The addition of a summer commencement highlights the College’s ongoing commitment to honoring student achievements at every stage.
