  • PTK Virtual 5K
    Runners and walkers across the nation are raising money to provide leadership and professional development opportunities to in-need community college students. The first-ever PTK Scholar Dash will raise money for PTK’s Golden Opportunity Scholarship, which waives the $60 international membership fee for in-need students and opens the door for academic and transfer scholarships, leadership skills, professional development, workforce training and much more.

  • GC Culinary Program Brings Home Awards
    The Grayson College Culinary program won three awards at the Texas Chef’s Association convention this August. Chef Rusty Weatherly won Chef Educator of the Year for the State of Texas. New adjunct professor, Annie Greenslade won Pastry Chef of the Year for the State of Texas. Rory Larkins won Student Chef of the Year for the State of Texas.

  • National Science Foundation Grant
    National Science Foundation Grant Grayson College has been awarded a second round National Science Foundation-Advanced Technological Education grant in the amount of $431,905 to continue strengthening its Advanced Manufacturing Program (AMP) within our local ISD partners. The monies will be dedicated to hiring a second full-time AMP faculty member, enhancing AMP presence on the College's website, creating a strong mentor/mentee program and purchasing equipment. The grant runs from October 2020 through September 2023.

  • Student Support Services Grant Received
    The Department of Education announced on August 5, 2020 the 2020 Awardees of the TRiO Student Support Services Program. Grayson College's program was awarded $261,888 per year for the upcoming five-year funding cycle for a total of $1,309,440. Members of the grant team included Janis Thompson, Tomyra Britt, Dr. Debbie Smarr and Dr. Regina Organ.

  • GC President Receives ACCT Chief Executive Officer Award
    Grayson College President Dr. Jeremy McMillen has beenchosen as the recipient of the 2020 Association of Community Colleges Trustee WesternRegional Chief Executive Officer Award. This award will be presented at the RegionalAwards Presentation during the 51st Annual ACCT Leadership Congress this October.
