SACSCOC Fifth Year Report
About
Accreditation is fundamentally about continuous improvement through peer review and collegiality—ensuring we best serve our students and fulfill our mission in higher education.
Between our 10-year reaffirmation reviews, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requires a progress check called the Fifth-Year Interim Report. This federal requirement ensures colleges stay on track and document any new campus locations.
The Fifth Year Interim Report will be due in September 2027, containing documentation and evidence of compliance within a subset of the Principles of Accreditation (see below), and a Quality Enhancement Plan Impact Report based on Grayson College Pathways to Success.
Starting fall 2025, a Fifth-Year Leadership Team will guide campus-wide preparation by:
- Raising awareness through improved communication and sharing relevant documentation
- Reviewing and updating college policies as needed
- Establishing the College's report infrastructure to review and create the Fifth-Year Interim Report
This collaborative process reflects the spirit of accreditation: colleagues across campus(es) working together to ensure Grayson College continues providing excellent education and support for our students.
