Beam Signing Marks Major Milestone for New Health Sciences Center at Grayson College

Grayson College hosted a beam signing ceremony this afternoon to celebrate the continued progress of the new Dr. Mary Moses Health Sciences Center currently under construction on the College’s Main Campus.
Campus and community members gathered for the event and had the opportunity to sign structural beams that will be permanently placed within the new facility, creating a lasting reminder of the community support behind the transformational project.
The new Dr. Mary Moses Health Sciences Center is designed to serve as a central hub for the campus, connecting existing facilities with future growth and development. The four-story building will combine student spaces with advanced healthcare education environments designed to support student success and workforce training.
The first level will feature a large lecture hall, student lounge, IT services and flexible multipurpose spaces connected to a new campus plaza. The upper levels will focus on health sciences education and training through specialized instructional spaces, faculty suites and collaborative learning areas centered around a grand atrium. A key feature of the facility will be a 24,000-square-foot simulated hospital space that will provide students with hands-on, real-world healthcare training experiences.
“This project represents more than a new building. It represents opportunity,” said Dr. Jeremy McMillen. “The Dr. Mary Moses Health Sciences Center will help expand access to high-quality healthcare education, strengthen our workforce pipeline and create an environment where students can thrive for generations to come.”
The Dr. Mary Moses Health Sciences Center is scheduled to open in Fall 2027.
