Stefan Kells, Grayson alumnus, is the new SOSU advisor on campus

Grayson College is pleased to announce that alumnus, Stefan Kells, has returned to campus as the new on-site Southeastern Oklahoma State University advisor.

After graduating from Bells High School, Kells attended Grayson for two years before transferring to SOSU where he completed his bachelor’s degree in liberal and applied studies in 2013. He is currently working on his master’s in educational technology at SOSU.

Kells has worked in admissions and recruitment for SOSU for the past four years.

“When this job became available, I immediately knew I wanted to apply and sort of get back to where I started,” said Kells.

Although the college has grown since he left and not everything is exactly where he remembers it being, the adjustments should be minor, enabling him to excel in his role as liaison between Grayson and SOSU.

“My goal is to help students find something they’re happy doing and to work with them on admissions and transfer requirements,” said Kells.

SOSU currently enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduate students and experienced a six percent increase in their fall 2017 enrollment. The most popular majors for Grayson students at SOSU are business, education, criminal justice, psychology, sociology and occupational health and safety, which includes many classes taught at Grayson’s Van Alstyne campus.

Kells’ office is located in the Life Center, room 205. He will be available primarily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and by appointment. Students may contact him at skells@se.edu or 903-463-8701 for additional information or to schedule a meeting.
