Pipefitting

Overview

Prepare for a rewarding career in one of the nation's fastest-growing industries with our comprehensive Pipefitting Technician Program. As semiconductor manufacturing facilities continue to expand across Texas and the Texoma region, the demand for skilled pipefitters capable of installing and maintaining critical process systems has never been greater.

This program provides students with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills required to fabricate, assemble, install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial piping systems used in manufacturing, commercial, and high-tech environments. Students will learn industry-standard practices for reading blueprints, interpreting isometric drawings, measuring and laying out piping systems, and safely installing piping components and supports.

In addition to technical pipefitting skills, students will develop the professional competencies needed to work effectively with engineers, contractors, project managers, maintenance personnel, and fellow tradespeople in complex industrial settings.

Special emphasis is placed on the high-purity piping systems used throughout semiconductor manufacturing facilities, where precise installation and contamination control are critical to production success. Graduates will be prepared for employment opportunities with semiconductor manufacturers, mechanical contractors, industrial construction firms, and maintenance organizations supporting advanced manufacturing operations.

The program combines classroom instruction with extensive hands-on training to ensure students develop practical skills that meet current industry standards and employer expectations.
