About the Medical Laboratory Technology Department

The Medical Laboratory Technology program prepares the student, by formal instruction and clinical experience, to perform laboratory procedures that aid physicians, pathologists and other healthcare providers, in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in the hospital, clinic or research laboratory.

Upon completion of the program, students receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree and are eligible to take the national certification exams.

The GC MLT program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
