Grayson College offers professional development courses for dental hygenists and assistants, including Pit and Fissure Sealant, Coronal Polishing, and Nitrous Oxide Monitoring.
Coronal Polishing
Our Coronal Polishing course, offered through the Grayson College Dental Assisting Program, is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and holds approval from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE). This course equips you with the necessary knowledge and skills to earn your Coronal Polishing certificate. Special emphasis is placed on hands-on instruction.

Pit and Fissure Sealant
Our Pit & Fissure Sealant course, offered through the Grayson College Dental Assisting Program, is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE). This comprehensive course covers all the clinical and didactic requirements set by the TSBDE to earn your Pit and Fissure Sealant certificate.

Dental CE Classes Private On-Site
If your organization has 10-15 staff members who wish to receive Coronal Polishing and/or Pit and Fissure Sealant certifications, we can provide an instructor on-site for your organization. Both courses can be scheduled and completed in one weekend or over any other combination of dates.

Nitrous Oxide Monitoring
The Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Course and exam are designed to prepare the dental auxiliary to become certified to monitor Nitrous Oxide under the direct supervision of their dentist. This course was approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners for dental hygienists and dental assistants to obtain certification. The course is intended to provide didactic information to dental hygienists and dental assistants to gain knowledge to understand their responsibility of monitoring the patients when they assist their dentist during the administration of nitrous oxide. This course will cover History and Safety, Patient Monitoring, Effects of N20, etc.
