About Youth Summer Programs

The Center for Workplace Learning hosts a variety of fun and engaging summer youth programs at Grayson College! Your child can explore their interests, acquire new skills, have fun and meet new friends. Our camp experiences range from four half days to five full days, giving your child opportunities that work for your schedule!

Camp Descriptions

  • This exciting summer camp curriculum immerses young scientists in a variety of engaging topics, starting with microscope skills, investigating a simulated infection and creating art with micropipettes. Finally, they'll explore genetics and unleash their creativity with 3D printing, all while enjoying interactive games each day.
  • Budding animal lovers to step into the shoes of a real veterinarian! Through a playful blend of science and hands-on "practicum," campers will learn what it takes to keep our furry friends happy and healthy. The week concludes with a special White Coat Ceremony, where our graduates receive an official certificate and their very own stethoscope to take home.
  • Ever wonder how a sheet of metal becomes a thunderclap, or how a plastic cup turns into a royal golden chalice? This four-day intensive invites students into the world of the "Invisible Team" to master the science and artistry of technical theater.
  • Young chefs will explore the wonders of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and learn how to turn them into mouthwatering dishes. Each day, campers will discover new cooking techniques, create flavorful meals, and gain hands-on experience in the kitchen.   • Ever wondered what’s actually happening under your skin? In this high-energy biology camp for Grades 4 to 7, we’re moving beyond the textbook to explore the incredible "biological machines" that keep us moving, thinking, and breathing. From the electricity in your brain to the mechanics of your muscles, campers will dive deep into the systems that make us human.

Requirements and Procedures

Career Exploration Camps

  • Please visit the link associated with the camp that you wish to enroll in and complete the attached form.
  • You must complete 1 application per camp that you wish to attend. 
  • A link will appear when you complete your registration for you to complete your payment please do so immediately. 1 payment is needed per each camp. 
  • Our system will not allow you to process a payment if the camp is full, however you would have the option to be wait listed.
  • Camper will not be enrolled until payment is received. Space is limited, so do not delay. 
  • You will be sent a confirmation email once your student has been enrolled in the camp. (please allow up to 48 hrs for confirmation, weekend registrations may take longer to process)  For Career Exploration Camps

 Refunds/Transfers/Wait List 

  • Due to limited space in all of our camps we can not guarantee that we can move your camper into another camp or section.
  • Refunds will be given ONLY if received 2 weeks prior to the camp date.
  • We must be notified via email (cwlask@grayson.edu) if you wish to withdraw or request a transfer.
  • Should you be waitlisted, someone from CWL will call you to let you know a spot is available.
