Grayson College Celebrates Students at Fall 2023 Commencement

This week, friends and family watched as 308 Grayson College students received diplomas and certificates during the Fall 2023 commencement ceremonies.

 “At Grayson College, our priority is to help you complete your degree. Graduates, you can check all three boxes – connect, commit and complete,” Dr. McMillen said in the ceremony.

149 associates degrees, 24 Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 79 certificates, and 44 Occupational Skills Awards were conferred. The College’s graduates for the Fall were an average 27 years old, with the youngest being 17 and the oldest being 58. The average GPA was 3.1.

In addition to the Winter Commencement Ceremony held on Friday morning the College celebrated students in a variety of programs through other ceremonies. On Thursday night, the college held an Adult Education Literacy and Center for Workplace Learning Recognition Ceremony. On Friday evening, the college will celebrate baccalaureate degree nurses who graduated from the RN-BSN program, along with associate degree nursing certificates at a pinning ceremony.

“Congratulations on your outstanding achievements,” Dr. McMillen concluded. “Never forget the commitment it took you to get here, and those who helped you along the way. We’re always here to support you wherever your endeavors may take you.”
