Description

Are you eager to enhance your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an additional endorsement? Explore the opportunity to expand your skill set and knowledge as a commercial driver by enrolling in our comprehensive course.

Our program focuses on developing a general awareness, familiarization, and fundamental understanding of the hazardous materials transportation process. We're proud to say that our course aligns with all the requirements set forth by Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR).

Through this classroom-only course, we empower truck drivers to recognize hazardous materials, equipping them with the essential knowledge needed to safely transport such materials. Our curriculum is built around the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OHSA) Hazards Communication Standards (HCS), ensuring a thorough and up-to-date education.

To take the next step in your career and gain this valuable endorsement, register for CVOP 2000a, a short yet impactful 4-hour course.

By doing so, you'll be better prepared for the responsibilities of transporting hazardous materials, opening up new opportunities in the trucking industry.

All courses operate 1:00pm - 6:00pm in our  Public Safety and Logistics Building, room 1011. Unless otherwise stated on the individual listing, this schedule applies.

Registration Instructions:

  • Click the Pre-Qualification button.
  • Fill out the pre-qualification form. Once your submission has been reviewed, you will be contacted via email with further instructions to complete the registration form.
  • When the registration form is received, submit it and await further notification.
  • You will receive an email within two business days of submitting your form to notify you of completed registration.
  • Once notification is received, payment can be completed by either logging in to your student portal, calling the Business Office: 903.463.8718, or going in person to the Business Office.
