Dusty Hart is in his eighth year as Head Coach of the Grayson County College Baseball program. In 2011, he lead the Vikings to the JUCO World Series for the 7th time in only 15 years since the program was resurrected in 1997. In 2008, he led the Vikings to their 3rd National Championship, the most of any school in the country over that time period. The Vikings also won National Titles in 1999 & 2000. He has spent 14 years (eight as Head Coach, four as assistant, and two as a player) as a part of the perennial power Vikings Baseball Program. Coach Hart has taken part in 5 NJCAA World Series Appearances, 5 District Championships, 7 Conference Championships, 11 Regional Tournaments, 8 Regional Championship games, and four times been a part of the coaching staff for the Texas-New Mexico All-Star Game. Coach Hart has had 35 players sign professional contracts and over 80 players sign with NCAA Division 1 Schools including Jordan Walden – Anaheim Angels, Andy Laroche - Los Angelos Dodgers, Cameron Blair - 2 time 1st Team All-American Texas Tech and Golden Spikes nominee, and Dave Maroul - College World Series MVP @ University of Texas. Coach Hart graduated from the University of Texas Pan-American and Grayson County College. He is one of the original members in the second era of the Vikings baseball program. After graduating, Coach Hart spent one year as the Volunteer Assistant coach at Texas Pan-American before coming home to Grayson. Coach Hart is originally from Lubbock, TX where he played for legendary coach Bobby Moegle at Lubbock Monterey High School. He played shortstop for the 1996 Class 5A State Championship Team. Coach Hart is married to Misty Hart who is a Dental Hygienist for Texoma Dental Center in Sherman. They have two sons, Braydon 8 and Dalton 4.
