Tutoring

Eligibility - Students are eligible for tutoring for any course in which they are currently enrolled. Cost - Services are provided without charge.

Access - Students come to the ASC and complete a "Tutor Request Form," on which they indicate days and times available for tutoring and sign a "Student Contract" indicating their understanding of their responsibilities as tutees.

Appointments - Based on available times of tutors and tutees, students are scheduled to meet with tutors as soon as possible after requests are submitted during hours when the Testing Center is open. Tutoring Services cannot be held responsible if, after a reasonable search, no qualified tutor is available. When tutors are available, sessions are scheduled at the South Campus ASC.

Frequency of Tutoring - Sessions for each course are scheduled for one hour on the same day at the same time each week.

Location - All sessions are held in the ASC unless resources in another campus facility are needed.

Termination of Services - An unexcused absence results in loss of tutoring privileges for the semester.

Availability of Services - Services are offered during fall and spring semesters. When funds are not available for summer sessions, a list of private tutors is posted.
