Texas Two-Step Project
Grayson County College has joined with the Texas TWO-STEP Project to offer technical students
easier transfer options to earn university degrees once they complete their associate of applied science degrees.
In a unprecedented initiative, technical students may transfer up to 68 total hours, 24 hours of approved technical coursework
and 44 hours of core general education courses, from Grayson County College to the Interdisciplinary Studies Program or the College
of Science at the University of Texas at Arlington to earn an academic bachelor'sdegree. Technical students may choose from
the following areas in Interdisciplinary Studies: Health Sciences, Business, Technology, Public Services, or Human Services.
The College of Science may accept up to 24 hours of technical coursework toward degrees in biology, chemistry, geology,
mathematics, physics, and psychology.
This collaborative endeavor between Grayson County College and the Texas TWO-STEP Project will open up educational opportunities to students who previosly felt that a bachelor's degee was beyond their reach thus making them more competitive in the job market.
