| Mission:
The mission of the
Institutional Effectiveness Office
is to implement and maintain a
system of continuous improvement
and quality achievement in the
conduct of all programs, services,
and operations of the College and
act as the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
liaison for the campus.
Purpose:
To
implement, facilitate, and operate
a continual, research-based, internal,
and organizationally pervasive
planning and evaluation system
that effectively implements the
College's mission and purpose and
complies with SACS, Texas Higher
Education Coordinating Board (THECB),
and other state and federal legislative
or accreditation entities and agencies.
To
assist or facilitate an effective
program of institutional research
used for institutional decision-making.
Goals/Objectives:
Goal
A: To ensure a systematic institutional
effectiveness process (linked
to Institutional Goals 2 & 6).
Objective
A.1: All programs, services,
and operations of the College
are continually engaged in ongoing,
integrated, and institution-wide
research-based planning and evaluation processes
that incorporate a systematic review
of programs and services that results
in continuing improvement and demonstrates
that the institution is effectively
accomplishing its mission.
Goal B: To ensure
processes are in place to be in
compliance with accrediting and
regulatory agencies (linked to
Institutional Goal 6).
Objective B.1: GCC
will be compliant with SACS Principles
of Accreditation.
Objective B.2: GCC
will be compliant with the THECB
rules and regulations.
Goal C: To facilitate
institutional research that improves
the college's efficiency, effectiveness
and demonstrates necessary accountability
(linked to Institutional Goal 2).
Objective C.1:
The Institutional Effectiveness Office
will be will be responsive to all
GCC data requests.
