12/5/2017 - Phi Theta Kappa Names Linder Texas Regional Coordinator

Phi Theta Kappa has appointed Mary Linder, a government and history professor at Grayson College in Denison, Texas, to serve as Texas Regional Coordinator.

11/27/2017 - Winter Minimester Classes Start Dec. 12

The college will offer its popular Winter Minimester courses again. Classes begin on Dec. 12 and will end on Dec. 29, allowing students to accrue more credits prior to the end of the full fall semester.

11/6/2017 - Screening of “Citizen Soldier” at Grayson College on Nov. 10

On Friday, Nov. 10, Grayson College will host a screening of “Citizen Soldier” in the Center for Workplace Learning (CWL) Auditorium beginning at 6:30 p.m. Prior to the movie, there will be a meet-and-greet with Colt Floyd as well as Raymond Viel from the film.

11/3/2017 - Grayson College Recognizes Service at Gratitude Breakfast

On Nov. 3, Grayson College hosted a Gratitude Breakfast for faculty and staff, recognizing several employees for their years of service (Jun. 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018). The 75 employees recognized represented a total of 609 years of service to Grayson College.

This week Grayson College launched Cruise to Completion, a new incentive program that encourages student engagement by allowing students to accumulate points that will give them an opportunity to win prizes.

The college will offer even more options for the 2nd 8-weeks classes this fall. Classes begin on Oct. 16 and will end on Dec. 7, allowing students to accrue more credits prior to the end of the full fall semester.

AEL provides instruction in English language, math, reading, writing and workforce training to help adults acquire the skills needed to succeed in the workforce, earn a high school equivalency, and enter and succeed in college or workforce training.

Grayson College will host world-class pianist Daniel Hsu, bronze medalist in the 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, on Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cruce Stark Auditorium as part of the Community Series Texoma Concerts.

7/27/2017 - One and Done registration event set for Aug. 3

Grayson College will hold its popular “One and Done” registration day for Fall semester enrollment. New and returning students are encouraged to visit the campus on Aug. 3 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. to sign up for the new semester.

Two clients of the Grayson Small Business Development Center, 903 Brewers and Polies, were winners at the Texas Strong Competition, which was held in conjunction with the Texas Rural Challenge last week in Waco.

A two day program beginning on Monday, July 10 at 8 a.m. will give school nurses the opportunity to enhance their skills and network with their peers.

Government professor, Dr. Pawel Goral, is a contributing author in a new book, "Currents in Transatlantic History: Encounters, Commodities, Identities."

6/13/2017 - Grayson College wins record $2 million skills grant

Andres Alcantar, chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission will present a $2 million check to Grayson College for a skills grant on Wednesday, June 14 at 11 a.m. at the Center for Workplace Learning Auditorium on the Denison campus.

6/8/2017 - Texoma Regional Consortium receives award

The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) has announced the recipients of its annual Workforce Excellence Awards for 2017. The awards were presented at a special awards breakfast held Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the TEDC’s Mid-Year Conference in Plano, Texas.

4/27/2017 - Grayson College awarded NSF Grant

Grayson College has been awarded $200,000 from the National Science Foundation to address worker shortages in the advanced manufacturing sector in Texoma. The grant runs from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2020 (estimated) and is the first NSF grant the college has received.

4/22/2017 - Grayson College Music Department sets spring concert schedule

The Grayson College spring concert and recital series begins Apr. 25 with other concerts and recitals set for May 1 and May 3.

4/21/2017 - Grayson College’s Phi Theta Kappa Chapter brings home awards

Grayson College has much to celebrate this year. Omicron Psi, the campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa brought home many awards and helped its members obtain recognition and scholarships for their academic pursuits. Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the international honor society for two-year colleges.

Last night 200 students were recognized in the annual event held at the Life Center.

4/10/2017 - Beat the Heat 5K to benefit scholarships

The Grayson Honors College is collaborating with the Grayson County Law Enforcement Association (GCLEA) to host the Beat the Heat 5k Run/Walk benefitting local first responders on Apr. 29.
