New Internet Music Courses For Spring ‘08
In a first ever for GCC Music, this Spring will include
courses available over the internet! Two
sections of Music Appreciation have been added.
The first, MUSI 1306.INT, begins and ends on the same schedule as it’s
classroom counterpart. The second is a
Fast Track version of the same course, listed as MUSI 1306.INA. The Fast Track version begins on March 10 and
ends with the regular semester, on May 8.
Each course is for three credits.
The internet version of Music Appreciation is “entirely
online,” and does NOT require on-campus visits for testing or other purposes of
the course. There is, however, a concert
attendance requirement. Concerts may be
of the student’s choosing (with certain qualifications) and are not restricted
to specific performances, on campus or otherwise. This means the course may be taken from
nearly anywhere in the world.
