Public Internet computers are on the first floor. These computers are available on a first come, first serve basis. Priority will be given to tours and class instruction on the computers.
In addition to the World Wide Web, Microsoft Office Pro with Word, Excel, and Access, and PowerPoint is installed on these computers. You can do research on the Internet and then use MSWord to word process your paper. Several periodical databases are available on these computers. Electronic databases, encyclopedias, and library catalogs accessible from the G.C.C. campus are described at database.htm. You can use the Boolean operators you learned about to help you formulate your database searches.
The computers are networked to a printer behind the first floor desk. Copies are .10 each, regardless of whether or not you decide you want them.
Please be considerate of others near you when you use these computers. While you may be using the computer for recreation, the person next to you may be working on a take-home final.
