Circulating books in the collection check out for two weeks. Reserve items at the front desk, such as study guides, textbooks, sample exams, check out for one hour. You will need to own a BARRcard in order to check these items out. These items must be checked out to leave the desk, even if you only want to make a copy. If you own a BARRcard, but forget to bring it, library staff may use your driver's license or student ID to check the materials out to you. BARRcards from the Sherman or Denison Public Library are welcome at Grayson County College's Library. Conversely, you may use your Grayson card at these public libraries. Your card will also allow you to check out books at Austin College.
If you don't already own a BARRcard, or if you have lost your card, present your driver's license or G.C.C student I.D. card at the front desk. The only cost is for a replacement card.
Graphing calculators are also available for one hour or semester checkout. A fee of $15.00 at the Business Office is required for semester checkout. Other items such as rock and mineral labs for telecourse/Internet students are checked out from this desk.
