Job Overview:
|
The Dean of Information
Technology reports directly to the President of the College. The Dean provides leadership, vision, and
direction in all aspects of technology and information services as they
relate to the educational, administrative, and distance learning functions of
the college. The Dean also works
collaboratively with other entities to develop partnerships that employ the
college’s technology resources in support of the college’s curriculum and
mission.

Job Duties:
|
- Manages all computer services functions to
include hardware and software selection, procurement, installation and
support.
- Works to develop and articulate a vision for
distance and extended programs for the new millennium. Works closely with Deans, faculty and
community constituents in both public and private sectors to develop,
plan, implement and evaluate a strategic plan
|

|
|
- Approves design and content of web site
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Serves as Director of the College Library and
coordinates library management, planning and budgeting
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Assists in selecting and providing on-line
information technology training to students, faculty, and staff to
include income generating programs
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Serves as Affirmative Action Officer, Ombudsman
and Access and Equity Coordinator.
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Manages college responsibilities in regard to
fulfilling obligations as technical center and fiscal agent of
Bibliographic Association of the Red River. Also serves as President of the Corsortium.
|

|
|
|
|
- Responsible for content and production of both
print and on-line college catalog
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
