The Grayson County College Foundation, Inc. serves Grayson County College through the development of public understanding and philanthropic support for the College's educational program. The Foundation encourages mutually beneficial relationships between the College and its constituencies.
A nonprofit, tax-exempt Texas corporation founded in 1992, the Grayson County College Foundation seeks financial support to strengthen and expand the College's academic and technical programs. Gifts and grants are needed beyond the scope of tax-based funding, thus providing a margin of excellence for the College's diversified program of learning opportunities. Members of the Foundation are persons and companies which have made a gift to Grayson County College during the current calendar year. The Foundation is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Directors.
The Foundation may receive designated or unrestricted gifts and grants to be used for approved purposes at Grayson County College. The Foundation may also hold funds in endowment for the College. Gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent of limits set by law.
The Grayson County College Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in March, 1992, as a 501 (c) 3, nonprofit, tax-exempt entity formed solely for the purpose of support of Grayson County College.
The Foundation was established as a membership-type organization. Every donor becomes a member of the Foundation regardless of the amount of gift. Membership classifications are:

Purposes of the Foundation are -

Communication

To communicate information about Grayson County College to business, educational, cultural, governmental, and other constituencies in North Texas so that friendships and relationships between the College and these constituents are established and sustained.

Scholarships

To build scholarship funds for deserving students to attend Grayson County College.

Equipment and Facilities

To encourage gifts and grants for facilities and equipment relating to the educational purposes of Grayson County College which are not provided adequately through tax-based funding.

Programs

To develop gifts and grants for new programmatic ventures, evolving academic programs, professional development of faculty and administrative staff, and other educational enrichment activities which are beyond the scope of tax-based funding.
