FINANCIAL AID AVAILABILITY

Grayson County College is responding to requests from our students for an easier method of obtaining their Federal Financial Aid. It will no longer be necessary to drive to campus and wait in line to get your money.

Effective Spring 2008, all refunds will be mailed to our students. This includes students who may receive a Federal Pell Grant and/or Federal Student loan(s). The published date to disburse or release Title IV funds is February 8, 2008. This is the date the checks will be mail to the address the student has provided and is maintained within Campus Connect. Checks will be mailed on February 29, 2008 for students who are first-time borrowers for a Federal Student Loan.

Checks will not be disbursed from the Business Office.

Students are encouraged to verify that their mailing address is correct on Campus Connect. As of Spring 2008, all refunds will be mailed to the address provided by the student and is maintained by the student within Campus Connect.

We are working on adding a direct deposit option to our methods of disbursing aid. We plan to have that available for the Summer sessions and will announce procedures for it within the next few weeks. Please contact the Business Office or the Financial Aid Office if you have questions.
