Counseling Services
Professionally trained counselors are available to all students and are prepared to assist with career planning, vocational interest tests, college information, college orientation, course selection, information regarding course transfer, degree planning, early registration for courses and personal counseling. A computer-assisted career guidance program is available for career decision-making.
Counselors do not make decisions for students nor do they “solve” students’ problems. Rather the counseling experience prepares students to handle their situations in a mature and responsible manner.
Grayson County College provides a Veterans Affairs Office to assist the enrollment of veterans, war orphans, war widows, and totally disabled veterans, their wives and children. This office serves as a liaison between Grayson County College and the Veterans Administration and is located in the Student Center. Advisement for all college programs is available in Counseling Services. Please contact the Veterans Affairs Counselor for information concerning the required documents.
All students are strongly encouraged to visit the Counseling Services Office as part of their college experience.
