Optimizing Your Web Browser

Most of our Internet-based courses are hosted on WebCT, and it is important that you use either a Netscape (4.0 or higher) or Internet Explorer (4.0 or higher) web browser. It is also important for your browser to use the freshest web page available and not a cached copy. You can ensure this by changing your browser settings as follows:

Here are the instructions for Internet Explorer:
  1. Click your drop down menu "Tools"
  2. Select "Internet Options"
  3. Under "Temporary Internet Files," click "Setting"
  4. Select "Every visit to the page"
  5. Click "OK" to exit
Here are the instructions for Netscape:
  1. Click your drop down menu "Edit"
  2. Select "Preferences"
  3. Under the "Category" menu, expand (click the + sign) the "Advanced" directory
  4. Click "Cache"
  5. Under "document in cache is compared to document on network," select "Every time"
  6. Click OK to exit
