Job Description:
Administrative support in an educational environment to ensure the efficient operation of Grayson College South Campus. This includes providing clerical support for the Dean of South Campus, the Vocational Nursing (VN) Director, and the staff of the South Campus.

Responsibilities -
Act in capacity of receptionist, directing phone calls to appropriate staff. Create an inviting customer environment by interacting with visitors, students, and Grayson College employees in a professional, service- oriented manner. Adhere to confidentiality, records maintenance and related practices and policies. Assist VN Program Director with correspondence to students. Make appointments for the Program Director and schedule meetings as necessary. Assist with VN orientation. Maintain all current and incoming VN Files. Maintain a database for all VN program inquiries. Provide basic admission and advising information to students and prospective students. Assist with registration activities including but not limited to: printing transcripts, securing admission documents, selling books, printing IDs, and selling parking stickers. Assist with student service events, community events, and other Grayson College events as scheduled. Understanding of the admissions process for the College and the VN Program. Retrieve mail daily from outdoor box and indoor drop box and deliver promptly to the recipient. On-campus mail should be delivered as soon as it is received. Some evening hours required.

Qualifications:
Expected – Must be able to work effectively and cordially in a team environment during stressful situations. Must be willing to constantly improve skills and knowledge of the position. High school graduate. Computer literate. High proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word and Excel. Ability to work well with others. Detail oriented. Good organizational and multitasking skills.

Preferred - Associate Degree. Experience in a college setting.
