Job Description:
Participate in team teaching of nursing theory, skills, simulation, and clinical practice in an integrated curriculum. Plan, supervise and evaluate student clinical experience in assigned health care facilities. Responsible for didactic and clinical instruction. Also includes student advising, maintaining office hours, participation in committee work and professional development. Must be able to travel to clinical facilities and provide clinical instruction during 12 hour clinical shifts.

Responsibilities -
Provide instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings as assigned. Support the philosophy of, and maintain academic standards of the college and the Associate Degree Nursing Department. Work with an assigned instructional team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing curriculum. Teach at the post-secondary level and use technology in the delivery of evidence-based instruction. Communicate openly, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in a respectful and professional manner. Participate in departmental and college committees. Assist in the planning of the budget and the selection of textbooks, visual aids, technology resources and library holdings. Assist with advising and college registration each semester. Maintain scheduled office hours and instructional assignments. Evaluate student performance in theory, laboratory and clinical instruction.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Expected – Master of Science degree in nursing. Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Minimum of three years of current professional clinical nursing experience. Interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills required.

Preferred - Teaching experience in a nursing program preferred. Knowledge of instructional methodologies.
