Job Description:
Instruct the lecture and laboratory classes in the Viticulture Enology Program, Develop and instruct seminars in the Enology Outreach Program, and coordinate activities at the T.V. Munson Vineyard and the T.V. Munson Instructional Winery.

Responsibilities -
This position will have primary responsibility for leading and instructing the certificate and degree programs in viticulture/enology. Develop and instruct workforce education courses and seminars for the Southeastern wine/grape industry. Instruct at least 15 load hours of courses each semester, meet classes as assigned, and provide assistance to students outside of class. Develop learning outcome measures or new courses and participate with department in updating existing ones as needed to meet State of Texas performance indicators. Assist in registration, advise and recruit students, and serve on College committees. Perform other duties as required by the Dean and/or Department Chair.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Expected – Master’s degree or higher in viticulture and enology or related field (Bachelor’s degree in viticulture and enology or related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience would be considered). Strong commitment to implementing student engagement within curriculum and promoting service learning. Must be student oriented and able to promote the community college philosophy. Must demonstrate a cooperative attitude, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Computer and multimedia skills required. Expected pedagogical innovations as needed for effective instruction. Must be willing to teach at non-traditional times and places as well as via Internet. Must be willing to comply with the “faculty responsibilities” as related in the Faculty Handbook and the Grayson College Policies and Procedures Manual.

Preferred - Earned doctorate. Previous successful experience teaching in a community college or university setting. Proven employment as a successful viticulture enology professional with commercial wine production experience.
