Consumer Electronics Repair

The Consumer Electronics Servicing program emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning. Students learn to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of consumer electronics products. A large portion of the training involves the actual repair of defective consumer electronics in the classroom laboratory.

Personal qualities that are helpful for this field include enjoying working with your hands, mechanical aptitude, good customer relation skills, and the desire to keep up with changing technology. Job opportunities include employment by independent service shops, electronic "superstores", factories, and self employment.
