Students are required to deposit $4250 * per semester to Grayson County College PRIOR to enrolling. This fee is for tuition, books, dorm room, and meals for one semesters.

Your $4250 is for:

  • Medical Insurance - $360 (per year depending on your policy)
  • Tuition: You are required to take at least 12 hrs or you are out-of-status.
  • 12 hrs = $1396        15hrs = $1695
  • International Fee - $250
  • Matriculation Fee - $10
  • Student ID - $2
  • Lab Fees for each class - $10.00 to $20.00
  • Books - $500 to ???
  • Dorm room and meal plan - $1696 per semester
  • $4250 does NOT include purchasing of a computer. Computers are available to use in the library.

Students are required to live in the dorm at least one semester.

The dorm opens August18 for Fall Semester 2008.

Some things students need to bring or purchase in the U.S.A. for the dorm:

  • Sheets, Blankets, Pillows, Towels, Snack Foods, and Soap
  • Any personal items
  • Computer: (Computers are available for use in the library and computer lab free of charge)
  • You may also want to purchase a small refrigerator or microwave for your room. These usually cost about $150.00 for both.

Transportation is provided from the dorm to classes and back to the dorm. Buses are available for students living off campus. There is an additional charge for this.

If you arrive prior to Aug. 18, please call 903-463-8746 to make necessary housing arrangements.

There is a $60 fee per person for transportation to and from the airport.

Students are NOT allowed to work off campus during their first year. Students needing work will have to apply for a work permit through our office after completing two semesters.

Please realize you will not be eligible for a social security number, until you have been in the United States for at least one year.
